In the liebour councils mandate for change there is the following statement - work with people to promote independence and healthy lives.

I see so how do they propose to do this - well obviously with the following cuts

HEALTHY CITIES   - REDUCED FUNDING
LIBRARIES - SOME CLOSED
HEALTH AND FITNESS CENTRES - WILLFIELD CLOSED
SAFER CITY PARTENERSHIP - REDUCED FUNDING
EDUCATIONAL WELFARE = REDUCED NUMBER OF STAFF
SPORTS AND LEISURE SERVICES = FUNDING REDUCED
CYCLE TRAINING - FUNDING REDUCED
PLAYGROUND INSPECTION - FUNDING REDUCED
ROAD SAFETY ACTIVITY - FUNDING REDUCED
COMMUNITY HALLS = FUNDING SLASHED
PARKS MAINTAINECE - FUNDING SLASHED
STAFF LOOKING AFTER WELFARE OF KIDS IN CARE - REDUCTION IN NUMBERS OF STAFF
LEARNING DISABILITIES SERVICE - FUNDING SLASHED
MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES - FUNDING SLASHED

These are just a few of the cuts designed to keep stoke on trent as one of the most unhealthy cities in the country.
For children playgrounds will become dangerous and therefore no go areas.
Our public parks will become eyesores and no go areas.
